Tonight my building is having a strata meeting and looking for volunteers. Coral thinks that we should volunteer to help out.
I am not too sure. Strata is a thankless job. I know this because I have never said thank you to anyone on a strata council ever.
The Morning After 
strata is good to be on for one of two reasons IMO. first off, if you’re a complainer. because you make sure your complaints are heard and dealt with.
and second, if you’re nosy. because you’ll learn way too much about everyone you live with and their problems and complaints.
my mom is on strata and it’s been nothing but a headache. she’s getting off as soon as her term is up.
basically she sits in a room once a month and listens to people complain. and then they email each other for the next week and elaborate on the meeting’s complaints. it sounds just awful.
ha, I hope ours isn’t like that. Our building is small and the people young. I think they want to figure out how to share the jobs so we don’t have to hire people to do it. I guess we’ll find out.

Ha. Everyone I know on a strata council hates it – except my dad, who is strata council pres, and he loves it. My step mom, not so much 🙂
