The last few nights… I’ve been up late listening to music and designing playlists for a project I am working on. Light night listening with the headphones on, in a dark quiet apartment brings the strangest music to my ears. Some songs I don’t recall downloading till I’m plowing through a forgotten playlist.
This jam came on. I don’t know if it was the late night or the ghosts…. but this song brought the smiles.

A buddy is organizing a trip with 18 or 19 buddies to Vegas in June. The price is right, so I think I’ll go check it out.

The desert in June is SMOKING HOT. We drove out to the Valley of Fire when I was there last June and it was literally so hot they were telling people at the visitor’s centre not to even go outside. We tried to go for a five minute walk and didn’t even make it that far before heading back to the car. Just so you know and can prepare accordingly!
I know it will be crazy. BUT I just gotta at least try a desert hike.
Bring lots of water and sunscreen! And probably wear the least amount of clothing as is legally possible.
I think I’ll dress like an Arabian!
it will be crazy hot. if you’re planning an outdoor activity, go very early. like 5am if possible. then you’ll avoid the skin searing heat at least.
5AM… hmmm… I think it would be cool to wake up with the sun in summer in the Desert in Vegas. I am going to do it!
118 degrees, buddy. That’s how hot it was there when I ventured through in late June. Total insanity.
