Coral and I watched the 1988 Molly Ringwald classic For Keeps.
The movie is one of Molly Ringwald’s heavier “teen” movie and is also Pauly Shore’s first major motion picture (though he ain’t in it too much).
The movie is neat primarily because its set in the 80s, and things have changed. So I was howling at parts I was not supposed to, like first off… Molly Ringwald being hot? yeah, that’s got to be an 80s thing. The movie centers on a Darcy and Stan, two high school seniors who become sexual active and have a baby. Everyone over-reacts and things spiral out of control. The scene that generated the most LOLz was near the end and Darcy’s Mom is driving her and the baby Theodonious (swa?) home. Everything looks all PG until you notice, Thea the few-month-old baby, is jamming out on Mom’s lap in the front seat of the car, SANS seat belt! bwahahahaha. The good old days.

Madelyn cut her finger yesterday which was very dramatic hear at the Casa La Corj. She stuck her finger in the shower drain… I know right? what were you thinking baby? duh.
So she twists it around in there (we figure that’s how she did it) and then its this moaning… then some blood… then some panic here on the home front. Coral patched her up and now you can barely see the cut. Could Madelyn have super healing powers like Wolverine?
We’re trying to teach her to say “ho ho ho” but then… we haven’t taught her to say anything yet… “ho ho ho” might be a wee bit ambitious.
