First Listen: Liv Wade – “Out of Love”

Victoria performer, Liv Wade sent me a nice message the other day in regards to some of the new music she is working on.

I hear you’ve got some good listening ears, especially music. I’ve just been in studio in Vancouver working on my first studio songs. The first one is done and I’d love for you to hear it — and enjoy.

great stuff liv! would fit in perfectly with my weekly folk/country show on cicv. ca

now all I have to figure out how to transfer it to our music computer (I’ll check with our youthful PD/program host Randy Liboiron. Perhaps you can send a link to his Facebook page.

You’re right about the TV drama too … I don’t know how to connect you with the folks who program these shows but I do know that a number of enterprising Canadian indie artists have earned some bucks this way and the song above is definitely worthy of consideration (spoken as a former commercial radio DJ/music reviewer/music director and, well, just a guy who watches the tube a lot … watches more TV than he should, actually, but that’s another story.

PS It would be cool if you could add CICV to “I Listen” and my blog rixbitz.wordpress. com to “I Read” or “I Learn”

Thanks Richard – Great to read your comment, very insightful and encouraging.

I played the guitar in this track as I do in all my songs. I will pass the message onto my friend who helped me with this recording in studio.
