While we were out there in the sunshine celebrating 146 years of Canadian nationhood… our friends in the UK were getting their boogy-on at Glastonbury.
Glastonbury featured something insane like 2000 acts…. and amongst all that noise, Australia’s Jagwar Ma emerged. NME magazine dubbed them a “must-see act,” and now that the party is wrapped the Sydney Morning Herald claims they achieved. Drowned in Sound also breaks down the weekend’s highlights (hint, they include Jagwar Ma as well!).
Their sound lends itself to some vintage scenes like psychedelic or 90s Madchester. If you get down to Tame Impala, you should be able to get into this.
Go with yourself.
