The Andy Shauf train rumbles along with a new animated music video for his song “Quiet Like You.”

Andy’s music has been described by Q Magazine as “a warm mix of late-period Beatles melodicism and Nilsson in his more melancholic moments.” That’s cool. Reminds me of type of indie jammer you’d hear in a movie like Election.

Andy Shauf already played a bunch of shows in our neighbourhood. He’s in California now and them making his way East with a bunch of sold out shows promoting his 2016 Polaris short-listed record The Party.

Friend of the show Jeff K sent over Andy Shauf. He said, ” have you listened to this album?”

The Regina raised singer is in town tomorrow and Saturday at Fox Cabaret in Mount Pleasant. Sunday Funday in Victoria at Sugar.

Our share song is “Early to the Party.” I’ll quote the Georgia Straight talking about the song“Early to the Party” zooms in on a girl who’s clearly never figured out that when the invitation says 8 p.m., you don’t show up until at least 9:15; over regal keys and layered strings Shauf sings “You’re the first one there, overdressed and underprepared/Standing in the kitchen, stressing out the host.”

We’re also looking forward to some new solo music from the Acres of Lions singer too! Can’t wait Jeff!
