I like how weird this alterna-rocker is from Coast Modern.
The LA band released the song “Pockets Full Of No” last Friday. It will be from their upcoming record do later this year.
The is a lazy slacker-ish sounding modern rock song. The track features maximum DJ club horn! That’s fun.
The band is criss-crossing America on the Sirius XM Alt-Nation Advance Placement Tour. That makes a lot of sense as their style of modern rock is exactly the brand they serve on Alt-Nation.
They hype is strong for the Cape Cod, Massachusetts trio Highly Suspect.
The rockers 2016 record, The Boy Who Died Wolf, continues to pile on the acclaim and their #NewRockNow’d song “My Name Is Human” is up for a Grammy.
The band is touring in the spring, but nothing in Canada (yet).

Epitaph Records punks, The Menzingers, shared a brand new song today from their upcoming album After The Party (comes out this Friday!).
“I was there when the walls fell down. I’ll be there when the ocean rises.”

You’ve done the right thing by visiting my blog. Thank you.
I was driving around with Coral the other day and Coast Modern‘s “Hollow Life” popped on the radio… she had to Shazzam it as we couldn’t place the song. But always remembered the band. Then today…email comes in pointing the blog toward a new song called “Animals.”
The Los Angeles tag-team blend a clanging percussion sound with a light and lazy vocal and melody.
“Hollow Life” was a moderate hit a few months ago. Almost 400,000 streams on Soundcloud.
I’m getting old. It’s been 10 years plus since I was really into Coheed & Cambria. I used to love these guys.
I did fall off the bandwagon, but with what I’m hearing so far from their upcoming record, The Color Before The Sun, I am feeling like climbing back on.
