Band of Rascals sent over their new music video for the bluesy rocker, “Holler.”

The song is off the new ep Tempest.

Malcom Owen-Flood says “We recorded the song, and rest of the unreleased album, with Juno awarded producer Eric Ratz (Arkells, Billy Talent, Monster Truck, Big Wreck) at the Warehouse Recording Studio – over in your city (Vancouver)!” Real good.

We went and got some family photos done with the incredible Brittany Menze earlier in the month. We went up to Buntzen Lake. Good times.

If you care, here are a couple.

Vancouver Island band Malahat sent over their single for a song called “The Grit.”

When I heard this song I messaged Ben back and said, “I like it, reminds me of Monster Truck!” And he said that’s great because that band is big influence on them.

They’ll be in Vancouver on May 13th for a show at Studio Records and I’ll do my best to there (if I’m not DJing that night).

They’re also playing in Victoria on April 1st with Band of Rascals.

Reporting for duty. First day in Vancouver. Woke up to some serious rain. My Dad dropped me at the Skytrain and after 40 minutes-ish…I was downtown. Here is a picture from Granville and Georgia. My new radio job is way up on the 21st floor of the black tower on the left of this pic. Neat.

Maybe I should have a Vancouver band for you today, but I do not.

I have Victoria’s Band of Rascals.

Groovy. Bluesy. The feature song is called “Giv’her to the River.” Get your lighter out.

Check out Band of Rascals on January 23rd at Sugar Nightclub. They’ll be playing in support of Jesse Roper’s album release party.

Jesse Roper and The Roper Show will be performing tonight (Happy Birthday Tindy!) at Upstairs Cabaret. If you’re planning on hitting the concert, tickets are selling like hot cakes. Red hot hot cakes. So go get ’em before it sells out.

Yesterday he stopped by the radio show to perform a couple songs live.  Both new ones.

The support act for the show tonight is a group called Band of Rascals.

Go with yourself.
