The boys and girl in Woodsmen released their ep on Earth Day. Its a 3 songer of indie alternative folky stuff. They tag it as francophone? Maybe there is some francais buried in the mix?

Daft Punk finally and officially released their single last night at 9PM Rain Forest time.
Turns out the leak posted up on here was legit as the song sounds pretty close to what leaked earlier in the week.
Zone DJ Jon Williams was in the seat last night and debuted the song just like this….

The Dudes show last night at Club 9one9 was a fun, hot, sweaty mess. Lots off girls wearing shirts with no backs and gentlemen in collars with beards. My kind of people.
At one point Dan called us (the people of Victoria) enchanted. All Class Team material right thurrrrr Dan.
But I thing nothing beats this bon mot from the Facebook page, “Catching a ferry to Victoria. Feels tswawwesome.”
As tswawwesome as last night’s show was… “Mendoza Line” did not make the set. One of my favourite jams. So let’s travel back in time and dust off an old folder buried deep in the archives for this live performance of “Mendoza Line (Whoa Caroline)” from The Zone Afternoon Show circa September 20th, 2007. This performance was in front of their opening set for Hot Hot Heat at Sugar Nightclub.

“In a ball of HOT FIRE! Whoooooo” Crash Kings wail on their new single and the first off upcoming album, Dark of Daylight (June 18 via Universal).
Three dudes, no guitar… why you so crazy Crash Kings?
Reading on some tumblr, “‘Hot Fire’ is a song for the end of the world.”
Dig it.

Matt Goud aka Northcote, stopped by the Radio Factory for a live performance in front of his trip to Germany to take part in the Pirate Satellite Festival. If you’re checking out this blog from parts beyond the Rain Forest Kingdom… we’re bullish on Northcote, we love him.
Folk Punk… or Punk Folk, so hot right now.

Tom Cruise’s sci-fi adventure Oblivion comes to screens on Friday. The film features music of Anthony Gonzalez, aka M83.
Last night, M83 brought Susanne Sundfør to Jimmy Kimmel Live. Consequence of Sound LOVED it saying, “Sundfør warped us into another dimension. Wow.”
The soundtrack howver is not receiving widespread. Hitfix reviewed the film and felt the soundtrack felt a little forced. The writyer said the film “felt only vaguely human and incredibly staged.” They then say that is how they’d describe the soundtrack.
I’ll need to reserve judgement till I see the film. I am a homer for M83, so I am sure the tie will go to the runner.

Remember that time last week when R. Kelly hopped on stage with Phoenix at Coachella?
Me neither… like many, I just read about Coachella and say, “it must be nice.” Even if I could get to Coachella, I don’t have the abs for it.

It begins! New daft punk is bouncing around the intertron tubes today. To the best of my knowledge, this is the best radio edit leak for the single “Get Lucky” featuring Pharrell. The record will be called Random Access Memories and will be out on May 21st. Pitchfork has some details about what is known.
Then hit the go button on this!

Like the title of this San Cisco track, “Awkard” is awkward. Something about this Western Australian band… I can’t place. Its a sing-songy, jangly, off-center pop song. Something about it compels me listen to hit repeat.
The song is already showing up on some progressive modern rockers like The End in Seattle and Sirius XM.
Song has settled into my brain.

Empire of the Sun are fucking cool. The festival party rockers have a new record in June called Ice on the Dune. The first single is called “Alive.” And by simple act of reading the title, you’re ready to singalong.
and because their 2008 music video for “Walking on a Dream” is so darn neato.
Stay weird with yourself.
